Since May 9, a building in Cachan has been gradually coming to life under the watchful eye of the city’s aqueducts! Fifty project leaders have settled in La Pampa, Plateau Urbain’s new project in southern Paris!

As in every third place supported by the cooperative, the collective is at the heart of the occupants’ daily lives. Round tables and workshops to choose the name of the place, welcome drinks and BBQs to bring everyone together, photo workshops, Pilates classes, framing workshops with the Cachan town hall and Commune Mesure… All these informal moments act as a catalyst for joint projects.

The shared garden, a veritable green oasis backing onto the building, is brimming with initiatives led by the occupants, including the creation of a vegetable garden and a compost heap, and has been developed to become a fully-fledged communal space.

For almost three months now, artisans, ceramists, painters, set designers, media professionals, young landscaping and urban planning companies, associations, dance and theater companies, and many others have been working and bringing La Pampa to life every day, transforming an empty building into a thriving third place.
